Fashion technology offers professional educations in the field of design, technology and management of fashion, textile and apparel industry.

1.National Institute of Fashion Technology-[NIFT],DELHI

Set up in 1986, NIFT is the pioneering institute of fashion education in the country and has been in the vanguard of providing professional human resource to the textile and apparel industry. The institute initially started with only one program of fashion designing in its first session. Currently, there are sixteen campuses and the NIFT, Delhi is the main campus (Headquarter and University head office). The institute offers various programs under design, management, and technology for the international fashion business. -The classrooms are big enough to accommodate a good number of students and are well furnished.

-Hostel facilities are given to the students coming from out of the city. Though currently, the institute does provide only Girls’ hostel and no hostel facility for boys is available.

2.National Institute of Fashion Technology-[NIFT], NAVI MUMBAI

National Institute of Fashion Technology, Mumbai was established in 1995. Later on, the institute received the status of “Institute of Excellence.’’ This autonomous institute has developed an association with foreign universities as well.

NIFT Mumbai offers many fashion courses on different academic levels such as undergraduate, postgraduate and doctorate. These courses include B. Des, B.F. Tech, M.
