The Grand Night known as Maha Shivratri belong to the worship of God of all gods Lord Shiva. Maha Shivaratri is one of the biggest Hindu festival celebrated all over India in honor of The Great Lord Shiva. The Hindu rises early in the morning and bathes in sacred rivers like Ganges and worship lord Shiva with Hindu traditions.
Abhisheka of God Shiv is done with cold water, milk and Panchamrita, also offerings of Bael (Bilva) leaves. A special drink called bhang or Thandai specially drink during the holi and Maha shivaratri, mixed in with spices, milk, cannabis flowers and sugar. During the Hindu holy month of shawan sacred yatra’s are done by the devotees at many holy place of lord Shiva like Mansarover,Amarnath and Baba Dham yatra.
The Lord Shiva is the powerful and fascinating deity of the Hindu Trinity, who represents death and dissolution. The Lord Shiva is also known as Mahadev, Bholenath, shankar or the God of all Gods. The Mount Kailash in the Himalayas is considered to be the abode of Lord Shiva, where he sits in a state of perpetual meditation along with his wife Parvati. The Hindu Trinity Lord Shiva, who is seated on tiger skin at Mount Kailash, whose forehead is decorated with the moon and the king of serpents as a crown,Blue throat and Sacred Ganges river flows from the matted hair of Shiva.
The animals who are associated with Lord Shiva or other Indian Deities such as Cobra snake, holy cow and monkey are considered as the holy animals in India. “Om Namah Shivaya” is a most potent and popular mantra and dedicated to the God of all Gods lord Shiva.
