As per the Shiva Purana Twelve Jyotirlingas shrines of Lord Shiva are Somnath in Gujarat,Mallikarjuna at Shrishailam, Mahakaleswar at Ujjain,Omkareshwar in Madhya Pradesh, Kedarnath in Uttrakhand, Bhimashankar at Pune, Kashi Viswanath at Varanasi,Tryambakeshwar at Nashik,Baidyanath Dham Deoghar, Nageshvara in Gujarat, Rameshwar at Rameshwaram in Tamil Naduand and Grishneshwar at Aurangabad.

However there are few more Lord Shiva famous temples which are said to be Jyotirlinga temples such as Vaidhyanath JyotirLinga Temple at Parali,Aundha Nagnath Jyotirlinga Temple in Hingoli, Ghushmeshwar Jyotirlinga Temple in Rajasthan,Baijnath temple at Himachal Pradesh and Nageshvara Jyotirlinga Temple at Jageshwar,Uttarakhand. According to Sivapuran Bhimshankar temple is situated near Guwahati in Assam and another Bhimshankar Temple at Bhimpur of Odisha is debated as one of the Jyotirling.
