There are only twelve traditional Jyotirlinga shrines in India mentioned in the Shiva Purana, Lord Shiva temples named as Jageshwar Temple Uttarakhand, Aundha Nagnath Temple Maharashtra, Ghushmeshwar Temple Rajasthan and Vaijnath Temple, Parali in Maharashtra are also considered to be one of the Jyotirlinga.
