5 Days Itinerary for Darjeeling and Gangtok Via Kalimpong

Darjeeling and Gangtok are two most famous destinations in north east India, known for their natural beauty, highest railway station, Mountain railways and Sightseeing. Will start our itinerary from Darjeeling and then visit Gangtok via Kalimpong, It takes about 4.5 hours to reach Darjeeling from Gangtok by car.

Day 1 – Mirik

Arrival at New Jalpaiguri and drive to Mirik, This picturesque tourist spot is famous for its climate, natural beauty and easy accessibility.

Day 2 – Darjeeling

Darjeeling-Mountain-railway

Early morning drive to Darjeeling, take rest and explore the local Hill Queen places and overnight Halt at Darjeeling. Famous points to cover are Tiger Hill for sunrise and sunset and view of Mt. Kanchendzonga.

Day 3 – Kalimpong

Kalimpong

After breakfast drive to Kalimpong and take the half day tour of Kalimpong for local Sightseeing, Visit Delo Hills, Pine View Nursery, Kalimpong Cactus Nursery and Deolo Resort.

Day 4 – Gangtok

Travel to Gangtok, take rest then explore the near by places that includes the following Ranka Monastery,Ban Jhagri Falls and stroll around M G Marg road local market.

Day 5 – Changu Lake

Tsongmo-Changu-Lake-Sikkim

Rumtek Monastery
Yumthang Valley
Himalayan Zoological Park

After early morning breakfast Visit the Tsomgo / Changu Lake and Baba Mandir, Nathu La Pass. These picturesque places takes nearly 2 hours drive through hill roads.
