Konkan – Slice of Paradise

Konkan coastline of Maharashtra is also known as Secret Slice of Paradise due to its virgin beaches and gifted with abundant flora and fauna. Most popular beaches of Konkan are Dapoli,beaches of Akshi and Nagaon,Kashid Beach,Murud Beach, Harihareshwar, Vengurla and Ratnagiri Beach.

Get There

The Konkan Express and Mandovi Express are the major trains from cities like Mumbai, Pune and Goa.

Konkan can be reached and covered by road, As most of the tourist place are connect by road.

Best Time

November to February is the best time to visit Konkan, However monsoon season brings the best of
Konkan.

Best time for dolphins watching in Konkan coast is from December to January.

Places to Visit in Konkan

Konkan region of Maharashtra has lots to offer such as black sand beaches, mesmerising greenery, scuba diving, exotic seafood, alphonso mangoes and Konkan railway line.

Ganpatipule

Ganpatipule town is located in the Ratnagiri district and has very peaceful, coconut fringed beach. There is no railway station at Ganapatipule and easily accessible by road on NH 17 via Satara from Pune – 331 km.

Guhagar

Guhagar is known for its virgin beaches,Haapus mangoes, Durga Devi temple and Vyadeshwar temple. Guhagar Beach is also listed as most cleanest beaches in Maharashtra.

Malvan

Malvan in Sindhudurg district is famous for Sindhudurg marine fort and Alphonso mangoes. There are large number of coconut trees in the region and has its unique culture and cuisine, popularly known as Malvani cuisine.
