15 Highest Mountain Peaks of Maharashtra

Geography of Maharashtra occupies a long coastline at Konkan,Sahyadri Mountain range, surrounded by Ghats,Hills and famous hill stations like Mahabaleshwar,Panchgani,Lonavla and Matheran. The Sahyadri mountain range is home to number of highest mountain summits in Maharashtra and these peaks are home to many hill forts built by great Shivaji.

Kalsubai Shikhar -1,646m

    Harishchandragad is taller than Torna. It is right across Kalsubai.

      Yes. Harishchhandra Gadh is taller and way too beautiful. Which is just 15 mins away from my home.

        Lucky you! I have always longed to visit the beautiful mountains of Maharashtra and climb the forts of my favorite king of all time and my inspiration, Shivaji Maharaj, but I have never even set foot in India for 6 years – I was born and raised in America. I have a friend from Mahableshwar and goes every two years, and I always beg him to bring back pictures of Pratapgad for me. Unfortunately, among the younger generation, my friend and I are some of the only ones left who still have pride for our ancestral country of India :-(.

        So I hope that you’re really appreciating and taking advantage of the beautiful part of Maharashtra that you are in!
