Top 7 Pineapple Producing States of India

As of my last knowledge major pineapple producing states in India are Assam, West Bengal, Karnataka, Meghalaya, Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh and Kerala. The 7 sister states are the major producer of pineapple in India.

West Bengal

West Bengal, especially the districts of Darjeeling, Cooch Behar, and Jalpaiguri, is known for its pineapple cultivation. The state produces varieties like Kew, Queen Victoria, and Mauritius.

Assam

Assam is one of the leading pineapple-producing states in India, known for its delicious and sweet pineapples, particularly the Khasi and Queen varieties.

Karnataka

Karnataka is one of the major pineapple growing state of India, Soraba taluk and Sagar taluk has large hectares of land under pineapple cultivation.

Tripura

Tripura, another northeastern state, is known for its pineapple cultivation. The Kew and Queen Victoria varieties are commonly grown here.

Meghalaya

Meghalaya, located in the northeastern part of India, is another significant pineapple-producing state. The state is famous for its unique and sweet pineapples, including the Khasi and Kew varieties.

Manipur

Pineapple is the largest fruits produced in Manipur, varieties ‘Kew’ and ‘queen’ are extensively grown in Manipur along with other citrus fruits like lemon, lime, orange etc.

Arunachal Pradesh

The northeastern state of Arunachal Pradesh has huge production of high quality pineapples in every season. Arunachal Pradesh also known for producing best quality of Kiwi fruits.
