After celebrating the Chaitra Navratri, Akshaya Tritiya and Buddha Poornima in the past few months Indian’s are now celebrating few famous Jeyshta Masa (May–June) festival and also getting ready for upcoming monsoon festivals and fairs. There are few on going festivals across the different region of India such as Ganga Dussehra in utter pradesh,Vat Savitri in Maharashtra and Nirjala Ekadashi celebrate all over India.

Ganga Dussehra: The Ganga Dussehra 10 day festival is dedicated to sacred river Ganga for its incarnated on earth. It is celebrated on Dashmi Tithi of Shukla Paksha in Jeyshta Masa (May–June), On this day the holy river ganga had descended on earth from heaven by Bhagirath. Hindus believe taking a holy dip on this auspicious day of Ganga Dussehra and performing several rites and rituals to the Ganga river demolish all sins. Lord Shiva is worship with the holy river Ganga, as the Lord Shiva is sole owner and holder of river Ganga. Makar Sankranti and Gangasagar fair are two other festival during which a holy dip in river Ganga is considered sacred across India.

Nirjala Ekadashi: Ekadashi, The eleventh day of the Hindu Lunar month, In every fortnight an ekadashi comes. Nirjala Ekadashi is also known as Jyeshta Shukla Ekadashi, when sun travel in Taurus and Gemini. This is one of the toughest and most popular ekadashi, as it need fasting without water and any type of food. The festival of fast is dedicated to Lord Vishnu,the second god from the trinity also known as the preserver.

Vat Savitri: Vat Savitri puja or Vat Purnima is a festival celebrated during the month of Jesht (May–June). On this occasion married women keep fast and pray for the prosperity and longevity of their husbands by tying religious threads around a banyan tree. Vat Savitri purnima is a festival of women and celebrated across over India specially in the states of Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Madhya Pradesh. The celebration derived from the story of Savitri and Satyavan,a legendary wife Savitri, who succeeded to get back her died husband by penance under the vat (banyan) tree.

Guru Purnima: A traditionally festival celebrated by Buddhists and Hindus to pay respect to their Guru. Buddhists celebrate to honor the lord Buddha and Hindu celebrated for Vyasa, a symbol of Guru-shishya tradition. Another famous Buddha Purnima or Vesak festival is celebrated by Buddhists across the world.

Shab-E-Barat: Shab-E-Barat or Mid-Sha’ban a Muslim community festival celebrated across all world. Meaning of Shab-E-Barat is The night of forgiveness, a special night of seeking forgiveness and repenting to God. Remembering past sins people pray to god and recite holy Quran whole night to forgive them for their evil deeds.

Rath Yatra: The Festival of Chariots of Lord Jagannatha, held every year at Puri in the tribal state of Orissa.
Teej: The Haritalika Teej is a fasting festival for Hindu married women, celebrated during the monsoon.
Naag Panchami: The festival of snakes, celebrated on the fifth day of the moonlit-fortnight in the month of Shravan.
