Top 5 Largest Solar Parks in India by Capacity

Currently as of 2024, The Bhadla Solar Park in the Thar Desert of Rajasthan is the largest solar power plant in India and also the largest solar park in the world by capacity of 2250MW.

Adani Green Energy is setting up the world’s largest renewable green energy park with 30 GW capacity at the Khavda park in the Rann of Kutch desert in Gujarat.The region is endowed with one of the best wind and solar resources in the country.

Bhadla Solar Park – 2250MW – Rajasthan

Bhadla Solar Park is the largest solar power plant in India and also the largest solar park in the world as of 2024 with total installed capacity of 2,055 MW.The park is located in the Thar Desert of Rajasthan and contributes to renewable energy sector of India.

Pavagada Solar Park – 2050MW – Karnataka

Pavagada Solar Park in Pavagada taluk of Karnataka covering an area of 53 square kilometres is the world’s third largest photovoltaic solar park and the second largest Solar Park in India after Bhadla Solar Park in Rajasthan.

Kurnool Ultra Mega Solar Park – 1000MW – Andhra Pradesh

Kurnool Ultra Mega Solar Park with a capacity of 1000 MW is spread over a total area of 24 square kilometres. The park has solar power developers like NTPC Limited, Azure Power and Adani Power.

NP Kunta Ultra Mega Solar Park – 978MW – Andhra Pradesh

NP Kunta Ultra Mega Solar Park also known as Ananthapuram – I, occupying a total area of 32 square kilometres and located 35 km away from Kadiri. 978.5 MW capacity was commissioned by the different companies in the park by April 2021.

Rewa Ultra Mega Solar – 750MW – Madhya Pradesh

Rewa Ultra Mega Solar spread over an area of 1,590 acres in Rewa district of Madhya Pradesh, The project is a joint venture between MP UrjaVikas and Solar Energy Corporation of India.
