Top 12 Major Sea Ports of India – Ports Wing

The 9 coastal Indian states Gujarat, Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha and West Bengal are home to all major and minor ports of India.

There are 12 major ports and 200 non-major ports (minor ports) in the country. While the Major Ports are under the administrative control of Ministry of Shipping.

Chennai Port Trust acquired around 67% stake of Centre in the Kamarajar Port Limited .
