4 Days Kerala Circuit Itinerary for Munnar to Alleppey

God’s Own Country, Kerala is South India’s most serenely beautiful state with major tourist attractions of backwaters, beaches, Ayurvedic and greenery. Munnar, Thekkady and Alleppey are the most visited tourist destinations in Kerala and notable for their tourist attractions, houseboats, Tea Garden, nature, waterfalls and wildlife diversity.

Day 1 – Munnar Tea Garden

Reach early morning at Kochi Airport or Ernakulam railway station and drive to Munnar using a pre paid taxi from Kochi airport. Almost 4 hours drive of 130km via NH85 with list of local sightseeing waterfalls and natural scenic spots.

After lunch relax and take rest, Late afternoon go with for sightseeing to Mattupetty Dam, Kundale Lake, Echo point, Team Garden and Rajamalai to spot endangered Nilgiri Tahr.

Day 2 – Thekkady Wildlife

In the morning drive to Thekkady, distance between Munnar and Thekkady is just 100 kms with 3 hours drive through most scenic roads in Kerala. The route is Munnar- Devikulam- Pooppara- Udumbanchola to Thekkady with amazing scenic beauty, Take rest and visit the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, Opt for an elephant ride or boat ride on Lake Periyar to spot the amazing wildlife, Overnight stay in the jungle resort at Thekkady.

Day 3 – Alleppey Houseboat

After early morning breakfast and check out, drive to Alleppey, or you can go to Kumarakom (Optional) Travel distance between Thekkady to Alleppey is 140 KM that can be covered within 4 hours and 23 minutes by road. Check in to cruise (1:00 AM), starts with lunch and stay overnight in the best floating luxury houseboat in Kerala to enjoy the natural landscapes with delicious sea food on board.

Day 4 – Cochin Sightseeing

After breakfast, check out from the House Boat and drive to Cochin Airport/Railway station, depend on your departure location and timing, spend the time with local sightseeing in and around Cochin that includes Kochi harbors,Chinese fishing nets,Marine drive and Dutch Palace.
