India is the largest producer of mangoes,There are hundreds of varieties of mangoes in India with a distinctive taste, shape and size. Mango is even the national fruit of India and cultivated mostly for edible fruit in the country.

The most famous varieties of mangoes in India are known as Alphonsos, Badami, Chausa, Langra, Neelum, Aamrpali, Malda, Banganapalli and Dasheri.

Alphonso/Hapus

Hapus mango are known for sweetness, richness, flavor and for its taste in international market. The saffron colored Alphonso mangoes are the most expensive varieties of mango in India, grown mainly in Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, Devgarh and Raigad districts of Maharashtra.

    You should really post links where you can buy these mangoes. People in the western world get terrible quality mangoes. 90% are picked far to early & never ripen. Besides we are only able to buy 2 kinds of mangoes. It would be very nice to be able to buy mangoes online. Or for those who have stores to buy wholesale & they will be the only ones with those indian varieties in the country.
    Also it would be nice to post links to orchards or greenhouses where we could buy plants or seeds.
    You would be providing a huge boost to the livelihood of the local farmers, & help introduce indian mangoes to the world.
