India – The Land Of Festivals

After the celebration of major monsoon festivals Teej, Raksha Bandhan and Onam, The land of festivals called India is now celebrating some of big and major festivals, and all set to welcome the biggest one Diwali. Every day of the year there is a festival celebrated in some part of the country. Each Indian festivals has their own significance to celebrate, few of the them are Amongmong Festival and Vishwakarma Puja.  Indian fairs and festivals are the major attraction and best way to explore India.

Independence Day

The Independence Day of India is celebrated on the fifteenth of August,to celebrate our culmination of long struggle for freedom.Whole country celebrate this greatest day with patriotism and enthusiasm.The 64th Independence Day has celebrated freedom, with tri-color. JAI HIND

 

Janmashtmi

Janmashtami, The birth anniversary of Lord Krishna and is celebrated all over India. Krishna Janmashtami also known as Krishnashtami, A Hindu festival celebrating the birth of Krishna, an avatar of the God Vishnu. Rasa lila, dramatic enactments of the life of Krishna and Dahi Handi are special feature in regions of Mathura and Vrindavan.

Eid ul-Fitr

Eid means festivity, A Muslim festival celebrate to end of the long month of fasting during Ramadan, by sighting of the moon. Eid is one of the most popular festival and celebrated in all parts of India as people exchange greetings and sweets.

Ganesha Chaturthi

The Great Ganesha festival, is the birthday of Lord Ganesh, the son of Lord Shiva and Maa Parvati. The Lord Ganesha the Hindu deity in a human form but with the head of an elephant,symbolize Supreme Innocence,wisdom,peace and Knowledge. Ganesh Chaturthi is the main festival of Maharashtra, celebrated grandly all over India.

Parkash Divas

Parkash Divas is the day where the Guru Granth Sahib was instituted. Sri Guru Granth Sahib or Adi Granth, is the religious text of Sikhism,It is the final and eternal guru of the Sikhs. Paryushan

The Paryushan Parva also known as Dash Lakshan Parva is one of the two most important festivals for the Jains, celebrated for self-purification and uplift of oneself. The 8-day festival that connects you religiously and spiritually to the almighty.

Navaratri

Navratri is a nine night’s festival, celebrated in the honor of Goddess Maa Durga. The 9 nights festival of Navratri is one of the greatest Hindu festivals, symbolizes the triumph of good over evil. Dussehra

Dussehra also known as Vijaya Dashami is a Hindu festival that denotes the victory of truth over evil. This is one of the most important festivals of India,celebrated on the 10th day of the holy Navratri.  The festival of Dussehra marks the triumph of Lord Rama over Demon king Ravana. Dussehra celebrated in various forms across India, Nepal, even Java and Sri lanka.
