Nandi is the name for the bull and Vahana of the great god Lord Shiva and the gatekeeper of Shiva and Parvati. The Mahanandiswara Swamy Temple of Kurnool is a village located east of the Nallamala Hills. Temple is famous for its fresh water pools, called Kalyani and home to Worlds biggest Nandi statue.
