12 Under Construction Super Expressways in India

Recently India’s longest greenfield six lane expressway, named as Agra Lucknow Expressway has been inaugurate in Uttar Pradesh. The longest under construction expressways in India is Ganga Expressway, The 1047 km long expressway will run along with river Ganga. Other under construction super expressways in India also includes Biju Expressway,Kadapa Feeder Expressway,Delhi Western Peripheral Expressway,Pune Solapur Expressway, Kurnool Feeder Expressway,Shimla Chandigarh Expressway and Udhampur Jammu highway.

Ganga Expressway -1047 km

Ganga Expressway will be the access controlled 8 lane expressway, connecting Greater Noida to Ballia in Uttar Pradesh. The 1047 km high speed expressway running along the Ganga river will pass through major cities of Uttar Pradesh.

Mumbai Nagpur Expressway -766 km

Mumbai Nagpur Expressway between Mumbai and Nagpur via Aurangabad is a 766 km long express state highway in Maharashtra. This super communication expressway will reduce travel time between Nagpur and Aurangabad.

Chandili Rourkela Expressway -650 km

Biju Expressway or Chandili Rourkela Expressway is under construction expressway project in Odisha. The 650 km long expressway will start at Chandili and end at Rourkela with four lane standard.

Mumbai Vadodara Expressway -380 km

Mumbai Vadodara Expressway is part of the Golden Quadrilateral Project, between theĀ  two major cities of Vadodara and Mumbai. The under construction expressway will pass through Navsari,Surat, Bharuch and Vapi.

Purvanchal Expressway -343 km

Purvanchal Expressway is one of the proposed 8 lane super highway in India’s Uttar Pradesh state. The expressway will connect historic towns of Ballia and Azamgarh via Lucknow, hence also called as Lucknow Azamgarh Ballia Expressway.

Amaravati Anantapur Expressway -371 km

Amaravati Anantapur Expressway is one of the big road project is the new capital of Andhra Pradesh. The Amaravati Anantapur Expressway will be 6-lane wide expressway and will connecting to Amaravathi Outer Ringroad from Anantapur.

Bangalore Chennai Expressway -240 km

The Bangalore Chennai Expressway is a new 6 lane expressway project, connecting city of Bangalore to Chennai. The 240 km expressway will run through mostly dry area and cut down travel time and fuel consumption.

Amaravathi Outer Ring Road -210 km

Amaravathi is the new capital of Andhra Pradesh state and the proposed 210 km Outer Ring Road will built by the National Highways Authority of India. The Outer Ring Road of Amaravati will spread over Guntur and Krishna districts.

Upper Ganga Canal Expressway -150 km

Upper Ganges Canal Expressway is a 150 km long super express highway between Noida to Haridwar. The Expressway also called as Hindon Expressway will be one of the longest expressway in India’s Uttar Pradesh state.

Delhi Meerut Expressway -150 km

The 150 km long under construction Delhi Meerut Expressway,connecting Delhi with Meerut via Dasna in Ghaziabad is part of the National Highway 24. Delhi Meerut Expressway is a eight lane expressway project and construction has been divided into three stages.

Eastern Peripheral Expressway -135 km

Eastern Peripheral Expressway or National Expressway 2 is a six-lane expressway with access control. The National Expressway 2 will connect major towns of Ghaziabad, Faridabad, Greater Noida,Baghpat and Sonipat.

Delhi Western Peripheral Expressway -135 km

Western Peripheral Expressway of Delhi is 135.6 km long Expressway, connecting Delhi and NCR through KMP. The Peripheral Expressway also known as Kundli Manesar Palwal Expressway is being constructed with flyovers,railway over bridges and elevated highways.
