India’s First 20 Urban Areas That Will be Developed as Smart Cities

Today the Government releases list of 20 smart cities with the investment of Rs 50,802 crores. Out of the proposals of 97 cities from state governments, the urban development ministry has selected only 20 as of now, The list contains five capital cities among the smart cities. PM Narendra ModiJi flagship Smart Cities Mission has been selected the hundred Indian cities to be developed as a smart cities.

1. Bhubaneswar, Odisha
