The 8.45 km long Banihal-Qazigund road tunnel is double tube tunnel with two parallel tunnels and has two lanes of road. New double road tunnel at Banihal is under construction and the tunnel will reduce the distance between Banihal and Qazigund by 30 km.

The 6.5 long Karbude Tunnel is the second longest railway tunnel in India. Karbude railway tunnel is part of Konkan Railway that connects Maharashtra, Goa and Karnataka states.
