The 9.2 km long Chenani Nashri road tunnel will be the longest road tunnel in India after completion. Chenani Nashri road tunnel will reduce the distance from Jammu to Srinagar and will be one of the longest tunnels in Asia.

Atal Tunnel – 8.8 km

Atal Tunnel or Rohtang Tunnel is a recently completed tunnel that will open in September 2020. The Road Tunnel will be one of the longest road tunnels in India built under the Rohtang Pass the Himalayas.

Banihal Qazigund Tunnel – 8.45 km

The 8.45 km long Banihal-Qazigund road tunnel is double tube tunnel with two parallel tunnels and has two lanes of road. New double road tunnel at Banihal is under construction and the tunnel will reduce the distance between Banihal and Qazigund by 30 km.

Karbude Tunnel – 6.5 km

The 6.5 km long Karbude Tunnel is the second longest railway tunnel in India. Karbude railway tunnel is part of Konkan Railway that connects Maharashtra, Goa and Karnataka states.

The 4.3 long Natuwadi Tunnel is the second longest tunnel on Konkan Railway,located in Maharashtra. The entire line of Konkan Railway has numerous tunnels and the route is one of the most beautiful train routes in India.
