Here is the list of longest under construction expressways in India-Delhi Eastern Peripheral Expressway,Delhi Western Peripheral Expressway,Bangalore-Mysore Infrastructure Corridor, Udhampur Jammu highway,Chennai Elevated Expressways,Himalayan Expressway Haryana and Pune Solapur Expressway.

Ganga Expressway -1047 km

Ganga Expressway will connect Greater Noida to Ballia through a controlled eight-lane roadways running along the holy river Ganga in Uttar Pradesh. The expressway will passes through major cities of Uttar Pradesh including  Varanasi, Mirzapur, Allahabad, Pratapgar,Kanpur, Kannauj, Shahjahanpur and Bulandshahr.

Mumbai Nagpur Expressway -800 km

Nagpur Mumbai express highway is a state highway of Maharashtra which is now being rebuilt with national highway standards. The highway passes through 12 districts of Maharashtra, still under construction and expected to be completed soon.

Chandili Rourkela Expressway -650 km

Biju Expressway is also known as Chandili Rourkela Expressway, start at Chandili village and ending at Rourkela. Rs 3,200 cr Biju Expressway project has already started 4-laning from Rourkela.

Mumbai Vadodara Expressway -380 km

Mumbai Vadodara Expressway will be about 380 km long controlled-access highway expressway between Vadodara and Mumbai. This six-lane expressway being constructed, which will be ready soon.

Agra Lucknow Expressway -301 km (Complete)

Agra Lucknow Expressway is another major expressway in the state of Uttar Pradesh and expected to be constructed until the end of 2016. The expressway will be 6-lane wide which is expandable to 8-lanes in future.

Bangalore Chennai Expressway -240 km

Bangalore Chennai Expressway is one of the proposed express highway between the two cities of Bangalore and Chennai. This 6 lanes expressway will run 240 km and allowing vehicles to reach 120 km/hr.

Mumbai Nashik Expressway -150 km

Upper Ganga Canal Expressway -150 km

Upper Ganga Canal Expressway also known as Hindon Expressway is eight-lane access controlled expressway from Bulandshahar to Purkazi in Muzaffarnagar. Hindon Expressway  is also planned to stretch from Noida to Haridwar through Muzaffarnagar and Roorkee.

Shimla Chandigarh Expressway -120 km

Shimla Chandigarh Expressway is another proposed 120 kilometres expressway connecting Chandigarh to Shimla. This expressway has 11 road tunnels between Maliana and Kothi with two longest tunnels to reducing the travel time.

Pune Solapur Expressway -110 km

Pune Solapur Expressway is one of the expressway section in National Highway 9, from Pune to Machilipatnam. A section at west side of Pune has been developed into a good quality 4 lane highway.
