Ranibennur Blackbuck Sanctuary is mainly famous for blackbucks but also home to the Indian wild wolf,highly endangered great Indian bustard, peafowl, Indian Jackal and porcupine.

Bhigwan Bird Sanctuary is located along the backwaters of Ujjani Dam near the village of Diksal and KumbharGaon. The sanctuary is famous for flock of flamingos and large number of migratory birds coming to India in winter season such as Eurasian spoonbill, Western yellow wagtail,Collared pratincole and Common gull.
