Blackbuck Antelope is the fasted running land animal in India, native to and found mainly in grassy plains of India. The Indian antelope is sole member of its genus and protected under the Wildlife Protection Act of 1972.

Blackbuck is a diurnal antelope and prey by Tiger, Wolves and Dhole dogs of India. The antelope was used to compete with Cheetah in India and can reach up to a maximum speed of 80 km/h.
