Top 10 Cities of India which are Cleanest Cities of Country in 2016

The Urban Development Ministery has announced the top 10 list of cleanest Indian cities which are also among the greenest city in the country. As per cleanliness survey Swachh Sarvekshan 2016, Mysore city from Karnataka is among the first in the list of ten cities and Chandigarh city has bagged the second position.

Mysore

The cultural capital of Karnataka and most famous tourist destination of South India,Mysore is ranked first in the list of top 10 cleanest cities of India by the survey Swachh Sarvekshan 2016. Tourism is one of the major industry of Mysore city and well known for the festivities and beautiful seven Palaces.

Chandigarh

The union territory and capital city of the two states of Punjab and Haryana,Chandigarh has been ranked second cleanest city of India. Chandigarh is one of the best-planned city in India and also listed as one of the green city of the country.

Tiruchirappalli

Tiruchirappalli is an ancient city situated on the banks of the Kaveri River in the centre of Tamil Nadu. The city is one of the oldest inhabited cities in Tamil Nadu and was listed as the third cleanest city in India in 2016.

New Delhi

New Delhi Municipal Council is ten of the fourth cleanest Indian cities by a survey conducted in 2016 by Swachh Sarvekshan. New Delhi has been also selected as one of the top hundred Indian cities to be developed as a smart city.
